How long does an oil change take?
Typically, an oil change takes about 30-45 minutes. The process includes draining out the existing oil and changing the oil filter, then placing new oil into the engine. After this has been completed, our Ag Plus technicians perform a 19-point vehicle inspection to make sure everything looks right. This involves checking coolant, windshield washer fluid, brake fluid, wiper blades, tire tread, air filter, battery and more.
When does my vehicle need an oil change?
The general rule of thumb is every 3,000 miles or every 3 months, whichever comes first. However, due to advances in engines and oil, you can change your oil beyond that in newer vehicles. Your vehicle should have an oil percentage meter that you can follow. Schedule an oil change before that hits 0% oil life remaining.
What is included in an oil change?
Ag Plus technicians will do more than drain and replace your engine oil. You'll get filter replacement, brake checks, fluid top-off, and a thorough 19-point inspection where they visually inspect wiper blades, tire tread, lights, air filter, battery, air filter and more.
What type of oil does my vehicle need?
Check the owner's manual in your vehicle for the recommended viscosity rating. The two most common weights are SAE 5@-30 and SAE 10W-30. Full synthetic oils provide better engine performance than convention and synthetic blend motor oils.
